HL Deb 26 November 1992 vol 540 cc1054-5

3.30 p.m.

Lord Hesketh

My Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 p.m., my noble friend Lord Astor will, with the leave of the House, repeat a Statement that is to be made in another place on Sunday Trading in England and Wales. This will be followed by my noble friend Lord Strathclyde who will, again with the leave of the House, repeat a Statement on Local Government Finance: England.

It may also be for the convenience of the House if I move on to a matter of a restorative nature with regard to your Lordships. It is proposed that the House will rise for the Christmas Recess on Thursday, 17th December and return on Monday, 18th January. For those of your Lordships who are keen to match up your diaries for next year as we proceed, it may be for your Lordships' use and consideration to know that it is proposed that Holy Week will be the week set aside for the Easter Recess.
