§ Lord DenhamMy Lords, it may be for the convenience of the House to know that the Committee stage of the Road Traffic Bill will be adjourned at about 7 p.m. for about one hour and that during this adjournment the Second Reading of the Welfare of Animals at Slaughter Bill will be taken.
It may also be for the convenience of the House to know that, subject to the progress of business, the House will adjourn for the Spring Bank Holiday Recess on Thursday 23rd May and return on Monday 3rd June. The House will sit at 11 a.m. on Thursday 23rd May.
