My Lords, is it correct that the Lord Privy Seal will remain on the committee?

The Chairman of Committees

My Lords, that is not strictly so and the noble Baroness is correct. However, in the circumstances I considered that it was better to move the Motion as agreed by the Committee of Selection and return to the House at a later date with an amendment rather than postponing the Motion. A number of committees must be appointed and it would be more convenient to pass the Motion in its present form.
