§ Baroness PhillipsMy Lords, is it correct that the Lord Privy Seal will remain on the committee?
§ The Chairman of CommitteesMy Lords, that is not strictly so and the noble Baroness is correct. However, in the circumstances I considered that it was better to move the Motion as agreed by the Committee of Selection and return to the House at a later date with an amendment rather than postponing the Motion. A number of committees must be appointed and it would be more convenient to pass the Motion in its present form.
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
