HL Deb 12 November 1990 vol 523 c119
The Lord Privy Seal (Lord Belstead)

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing in my name on the Order Paper.

The purpose of this Motion is to allow the Motion in the name of the most reverend Primate the Archbishop of York on Thursday this week to be taken as a consolidated debate with the Motion in the name of my noble friend Lord Middleton. I stress that, following agreement between the usual channels, the debate on those two Motions will be a single debate and thereafter the Second Reading of the Census (Confidentiality) Bill will be taken. I beg to move.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 38 (Arrangement of the Order Paper) be dispensed with on Thursday next for the purpose of taking the Motion standing in the name of the Lord Archbishop of York before the Second Reading of the Census (Confidentiality) Bill [H.L.].—(Lord Belstead.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
