Viscount Ullswater

My Lords, I beg to move that the House do agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 204 and 205. In moving this amendment, I wish to speak also to Amendments Nos. 470, 475 to 477 and 479 to 483. These amendments are necessary to make transitional arrangements for the commencement of certain of the provisions of Part VI on Royal Assent, which is proposed in Amendment No. 319. They clarify where necessary whether the new provisions in the Bill will relate to cases which are already being dealt with under the provisions of the existing law. This is necessary to avoid any possibility of a different set of rules applying half-way through action on a reference or report.

Moved, That the House do agree with the Commons in the said amendments. —(Viscount Ullswater.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
