My Lords, I beg to present a Petition from 4,655 residents of Sheffield in the following terms: We the udersigned do humbly petition your Lordships and Ladyships to amend Part IV of the current Housing Bill so that more than 50 per cent. of those eligible to vote have to be in favour of the proposition to choose a new landlord for it to proceed, and that the vote be conducted by an independent body and by secret ballot".

My Lords, I beg to present a Petition from the residents of Southwark which prays that this House will amend Part IV of the Housing Bill so that more than 50 per cent. of those eligible to vote have to be in favour of the proposition to choose a new landlord for it to proceed, and that the vote be conducted by an independent body and by secret ballot. The Petition bears 400 signatures.
