§ The noble Lord said: My Lords with your Lordships permission, I should like to speak to and to move these five amendments en bloc. They are all drafting amendments to Clause 29 of the Bill and they are required as a result of the coming into operation on 23rd August last of Part I of the Gas Act 1986. Their effect is to transfer the protection rights contained in Clause 29 from the previous British Gas Corporation to the new British Gas plc or any other authorised supplier of gas. I beg to move.
