HL Deb 12 April 1984 vol 450 c1278
Lord Donaldson of Kingsbridge

My Lords, in the absence of my noble friend Lord Avebury, I beg leave to ask the Question standing in his name on the Order Paper.

The Question was as follows: To ask Her Majesty's Government what under-takings as to non-disclosure of any information received in the prison is required of visitors to inmates in prisons in England and Wales.

Lord Denham

My Lords, I wonder if the noble Lord will make it clear whether he has been specifically asked to do so by the noble Lord, Lord Avebury. If that is not the case, he is out of order.

Lord Donaldson of Kingsbridge

My Lords, I make it quite clear that I have not been asked by my noble friend Lord Avebury. Therefore, I withdraw the Question.
