HL Deb 09 May 1983 vol 442 c334
Lord Denham

My Lords, in the light of the announcement by my right honourable friend the Prime Minister, it may be for the convenience of your Lordships to know that it is proposed to rearrange this week's business in the House. In particular, it has been agreed through the usual channels that the Telecommunications Bill, due for its second Committee day tomorrow, and the Housing and Building Control Bill, due for its Report stage on Thursday, will not now further proceed.

With the leave of the House, I propose to make a further statement about the business for the remainder of this week, later this afternoon. I shall arrange for adequate warning of this statement to be given on the annunciators. However, today's business will remain as it appears on the Order Paper.
