My Lords, I beg to move that the Milk (Northern Ireland) Order 1982, a draft of which was laid before this House on 19th October 1982, be approved. The order consolidates the Milk Act (Northern Ireland) 1950 and the Milk (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 1963. It was considered by the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills on 8th December 1982 and the committee was satisfied that it is a purely consolidating measure. It therefore makes no changes of substance in the existing law, but brings it together in one order. I beg to move.
