HL Deb 28 April 1983 vol 441 c1051

3 Schedule 2, page 47, line 10, leave out paragraph 5.

The Lord Chancellor

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 3. This amendment merely removes the transitional provision which is no longer required in the Bill now that the Criminal Justice Act 1982, to which it refers, has come into force. I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

Lord Elwyn-Jones

My Lords, this amendment would seem to be even less revolutionary than the other amendments moved by the noble and learned Lord, and we have no objection to it.

The Lord Chancellor

My Lords, I am deeply grateful for the support of the noble and learned Lord.

On Question, Motion agreed to.
