§ Lord DenhamMy Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon my noble friend the Leader of the House will, with the leave of the House, repeat a 118 Statement that is to be made in another place on the European Council Meeting in Copenhagen.
This will be followed by my noble friend Lord Gowrie who, again with the leave of the House, will repeat a Statement on the bombing at Ballykelly in Londonderry. I think I should say, for the convenience of the House, that as the noble Earl is at present en route from the Province, his Statement may not follow immediately after the first Statement.
§ Lord ShinwellMy Lords, may I ask the Government Chief Whip a question on this matter of Statements. Are we likely to receive a Statement from another place, or arrange a Statement in your Lordships' House, which would enable us collectively to express our condemnation of the recent deplorable and horrible event that has taken place in Northern Ireland?
§ Lord DenhamMy Lords, that is the second Statement—the one that is going to be made by my noble friend Lord Gowrie later on this afternoon.
