My Lords, I beg to move the second Motion standing in my name on the Order Paper.

Moved, That the Standing Orders relating to Public Business be amended as follows:

Standing Order55

Line 3, leave out "appended to the Minutes of the Day and".

Standing Order 60

After paragraph (3) insert the following new paragraph:

"(3A) In the absence of any chairman appointed in pursuance of paragraph (3) of this Standing Order a committee may appoint its own chairman.".—(Lord Aberdare.)
