108 Clause 46, page 40, line 19, leave out 'county planning authority' and insert 'relevant authority within the meaning of section 32'.

109 Clause 47, page 40, line 39, after 'to' insert 'Scotland or'.

110 Clause 47, page 40, line 39, at end insert— '(1A) In the application of this Part to England and Wales—

  1. (a) references to a local planning authority shall be construed, except as respects Greater London, as references to a county planning authority and a district planning authority and, as respects Greater London, as references to a London borough council; and
  2. (b) references to a county planning authority shall be construed, as respects Greater London, as references to a London borough council;
and in the application of this Part to Scotland references to a local planning authority shall be construed as references to a regional planning authority, a general planning authority and a district planning authority".

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 108 to 110. Amendment No. 108 is consequential on the extension to Scotland of the provisions concerning limestone pavement orders. Amendment No. 109 makes an appropriate reference in the interpretation section to the Secretary of State for Scotland, and Amendment No. 110 provides interpretation of the references to planning authorities that are made at various points in Part II of the Bill.
