HL Deb 15 October 1981 vol 424 c540

102 Clause 40, page 37, line 34, after 'Ministers' insert', the Nature Conservancy Council'.

The Earl of Avon

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 102. Clause 40 is the clause which enables the Minister to make orders for the compulsory notifications of agricultural or forestry proposals on moor and heath in national parks. Subsection (6) requires the national park authority to send copies of notifications received to the Ministers and the Countryside Commission. Amendment No. 102 will require it to send copies to the Nature Conservancy Council also. I am sure noble Lords will agree that this is a good idea and I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment.—(The Earl of Avon.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
