HL Deb 08 October 1981 vol 424 c189
The Earl of Onslow

My Lords, with the leave of the House I should like to make a brief personal statement. I very much regret that yesterday in a supplementary question I breached a long-standing custom of the House that Members of another place should not be mentioned by name, or otherwise identified, for the purpose of criticism of a personal nature. I desire unreservedly to apologise to the House and to the right honourable Member of another place to whom I referred for this breach of custom of this House.
