§ 3.29 p.m.
§ Lord EltonMy Lords, beg to move that the Public Order (Northern Ireland) Order 1981, a draft of which was laid before this House on 13th January 1981, be approved.
This order consolidates the law relating to public order. It was considered by the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills on 11th March and the committee was satisfied that it was a measure of pure consolidation. It makes no changes of substance in the existing law, but brings it together in one order. I beg to move.
§ Moved, That the draft order laid before the House on 13th January be approved.—(Lord Elton.)
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
