Lord Denham

My Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon my noble friend Lord Elton will, with the leave of the House, repeat a Statement that is to be made in another place on the Northern Ireland prison protests.

It might also be for the convenience of your Lordships if I announce that in view of the number of Members who have indicated their wish to speak on tomorrow's Motion standing in the name of the noble Lord, Lord Peart, the Leader of the Opposition, the business which was to have been taken after the debate, namely, the Second Reading of the Interpretation of Legislation Bill, in the name of the noble and learned Lord, Lord Scarman, and the Unstarred Question, which was to have been asked by the noble Lord, Lord Allen of Abbeydale, have, by agreement, been removed from tomorrow's Order Paper.
