§ 37 Schedule 3, page 100, line 16, after "value" insert "or annual value".
§ The Lord ChancellorMy Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 37. I believe that this is another technical amendment; I hope that I am not misleading the House in saying so.
§ Lord Elwyn-JonesMy Lords, I remember an occasion in the House of Lords when counsel for one of the parties said that the point being taken against him was a very technical point. The late noble and learned Lord, Lord Morris of Borth-y-Gest, said, "Ah, yes, in some cases what you may think of as a technical point is a point of principle which has been discovered by the other side!"
§ The Lord ChancellorMy Lords, there is not another side to this particular debate!
§ Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said amendment—(The Lord Chancellor.)
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
