The Earl of MANSFIELD

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 155. Paragraph 17 of Schedule 7 already contains amendments to Section 62 of the Criminal Justice Act 1967, which deals with revocation of licences of prisoners who are convicted while on licence. This further amendment is required to cater for one other possible but unlikely eventuality—a murderer aged between 18 and 21 sentenced to imprisonment for life who is detained in a young offenders' institution.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in their said amendment.—(The Earl of Mansfield.)
