HL Deb 27 June 1978 vol 394 c279

[No. 57.]

Schedule 5, page 104, leave out lines 49 to 51.

Lord MELCHETT

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 57, and I should like to speak to Amendment No. 81 at the same time. These Amendments are necessary because under the provisions of Clause 69 and associated repeals in other legislation the county court service will cease to exist as a separate entity. Section 138 also needs to be repealed because of the new provisions contained in Clause 116(4).

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Melchett.)
