Insert the following new clause:

Pre-packed and other goods: temporary restriction on removal of permitted imperial quantities

". —(1) The powers to prescribe the quantities in which goods may be made up sold, or made for sale, which are conferred by section 21 of the 1963 Act shall not be exercised so as to make unlawful any sale of goods to which this section applies.

(2) This section applies to a sale—

  1. (a) which is of goods which are pre-packed, sold, or made for sale, in any quantity specified by the enactments and orders in Schedule (Pre-packed and other goods) to this Act (quantities expressed in the imperial system), and
  2. (b) which is made at any time before 21st April 1978.".
