Clause 26, page 29, line 8, at end insert— ("() Section 426 of the Act of 1948 (inspection, production and evidence of documents kept by the registrar) shall have effect as if any material so accepted were a document kept by the registrar.")

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 52. This Amendment provides that returns and other documents delivered to the Registrar in non-documentary form shall be regarded as documents for the purposes of section 426 of the 1948 Act—inspection, production and evidence of documents kept by Registrar. The Amendment was added to the Bill in Committee in another place.
