HL Deb 05 July 1976 vol 372 cc1028-9

3 p.m.

The LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, although it appears from the Order Paper that the noble Earl, Lord Ferrers, has taken over, and indeed adopted, the Adoption Bill, I understand he is perfectly happy to return the parentage to me. I understand that no Amendments have been set down to this Bill and that no noble Lord has indicated a wish to move a manuscript Amendment or to speak in Committee. Unless, therefore, any noble Lord objects, I beg to move that the Order of Re-commitment be discharged.

Moved, that the Order of Re-commitment be discharged.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
