HL Deb 16 February 1976 vol 368 cc311-2

2.56 p.m.

The LORD CHANCELLOR (Lord Elwyn-Jones)

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a second time. It is a pure consolidation Bill. It consolidates the provisions relating to restrictive trade practices in Part I of the Restrictive Trade Practices Act 1956 and subsequent legislation, principally the Restrictive Trade Practices Act 1968 and Part X of the Fair Trading Act 1973. The Bill will be considered by the Joint Committee in the usual way. I beg to move.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a,—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Bill read 2a, and referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.
