HL Deb 30 October 1975 vol 365 c718

[No. 35]

Clause 17, page 10, line 11, leave out ("wholly owned").

Lord LOVELL-DAVIS

My Lords, I beg to move that this Horse doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 35. The effect of this Amendment is to provide that the controls by the Secretary of State over acquisitions of shares by the Agency and its subsidiaries extend to all subsidiaries and not simply the Agency's wholly-owned subsidiaries. This Amendment met points which were made in this House by the noble Lord, Lord Aberdare, and also in another place.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Lovell-Davis.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
