HL Deb 10 March 1975 vol 358 c10

2.53 p.m.

Baroness LLEWELYN-DAVIES of HASTOE

My Lords, with the leave of the House, my noble friend the Leader of the House will repeat a Statement on the unofficial action by industrial civil servants at a convenient moment after 3.30 p.m. He will then make a Statement on the provision of facilities in this House. Noble Lords will be glad to hear that dinners will be provided this evening. On a different subject, I think it would be helpful if I indicated that we expect to take the Committee stage of the Trade Union Bill to the end of Amendment No. 10 this evening. The discussion of Amendments relating to the Press will be held tomorrow. For this purpose, the noble Lord, Lord Goodman, will not be moving Amendments Nos. 6 and 7 today but will put them down again at a later point in the Bill for debate tomorrow. Again on a different subject, may I also announce that, subject to the progress of Business, the House is expected to rise for the Easter Recess on Thursday, 27th March until Tuesday, 8th April.

Lord HAILSHAM of SAINT MARY-LEBONE

My Lords, I am sure the House is very grateful to the noble Baroness. I do not think I need comment on these various statements, except to say that we are very grateful to those who are providing us with dinner despite the difficulties.
