§ The LORD CHANCELLOR (Lord Elwyn-Jones)My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be now read a second time. Like the three Bills which follow, it is a pure consolidation Bill and, subject to your Lordships' approval, it will, in the usual way, be referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills for consideration. It consolidates the House of Commons Disqualification Act 1957 and certain other relevant enactments relating to disqualification for the House of Commons. My Lords, I beg to move.
