HL Deb 04 December 1975 vol 366 cc752-3
Lord BROCKWAY

My Lords, with the leave of the House I should like to ask a Question of which I have given Her Majesty's Government Private Notice; namely:

" To ask Her Majesty's Government what conclusions were reached at the meeting of European Community Heads of Government in Rome on 1st and 2nd December."

The MINISTER of STATE, FOREIGN and COMMONWEALTH OFFICE (Lord Goronwy-Roberts)

My Lords, with the leave of the House, I shall answer this Question in the form of a Statement after 3.30 p.m.

Lord BROCKWAY

My Lords, I thank the Minister, but may I ask him, on a matter of procedure, whether the Prime Minister's Statement in another place is to be at the end of Questions in the normal way, so that it would be repeated here, or is it to be in answer to a Question in another place?

Lord GORONWY-ROBERTS

My Lords, I understand that the Statement will be in answer to a Question put down to the Prime Minister. In any case, I hope it will be proper and convenient to the House if I repeat that Statement and cope as well as I can with supplementary questions, after the Statement has been made in another place.
