HL Deb 08 May 1974 vol 351 cc499-500

3.3 p.m.

THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF LISTOWEL)

My Lords, the purpose of my Motion is to provide an opportunity to correct an error, whereby this Bill was sent to another place without the necessary Privilege Amendment to remove a clause dealing with the payment of stamp duty. I must apologise to your Lordships for this mistake and for taking up the time of the House in order to put it right. If your Lordships are good enough to agree to this Motion, I will table another Motion next week which will enable the Privilege Amendment to be made. My Lords, I beg to move.

Moved, That the proceedings of the 10th of April last, so far as they relate to the passing of the Bill, be vacated.—(The Earl of Listowel.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
