My Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to amend the law so that husbands of women who are British nationals or who are settled in the United Kingdom and Islands should have the same rights as to nationality and settlement as the wives of men who are British nationals or who are so settled. I beg to move that this Bill be now read a first time.
