Moved, That this House approves—
(a) the proposal of the Leader of the House, to replace the existing limit upon car mileage allowance available to Members of this House under the Resolution of
2147
November 11, 1970, by a limit of 7.7 pence a mile, in respect of journeys after August 1, 1974;
(b) the raising from £8.50 to £11.50, with effect from August 1, 1974. of the limit upon the daily allowance payable to Lords attending sittings of this House, or of Committees of this House;
(c) the raising, with effect from August 1, 1974, of the rate of the supplementary London allowance payable to certain Members of this House under the Resolution of January 20, 1972 from £175 to £228 a year.—(Lord Shepherd.)
