§ LORD ABERDAREMy Lords, Section 65 of the National Health Service Act 1946 empowered a local health authority to provide or improve or furnish residential accommodation for officers. The power was used to provide, for example, community nurses' homes. The purpose of the Amendment is to secure the transfer of such accommodation along with other Health Service property by including functions under Section 65 among the health functions defined in Clause 16(5)(a. I beg to move.
