HL Deb 19 December 1973 vol 348 cc335-6
THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR NORTHERN IRELAND (LORD BELSTEAD)

My Lords, I understand it has been agreed through the usual channels that the three Northern Ireland Orders and the Northern Ireland Constitution (Amendment) Bill might be taken formally now, and that later this afternoon there would be an opportunity for a debate on Constitutional Developments in Northern Ireland. If it is for the convenience of the House, I now beg to move that the Northern Ireland Constitution (Devolution) Order 1973 be agreed to.

Moved, That the Draft Northern Ireland Constitution (Devolution) Order 1973, laid before the House on December 6, be approved.—(Lord Belstead.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
