HL Deb 14 November 1972 vol 336 c597
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF LISTOWEL)

My Lords, I have been asked by my noble and learned friend the Lord Chancellor to inform your Lordships that he is sitting judicially this week and cannot, therefore, be in his place on the Woolsack until after 4 o'clock. He is sorry that he could not inform the House in advance of the reason for his absence this week as his judicial obligations did not arise until last Friday.
