LORD CHAMPION

My Lords, I beg leave to ask the following Question of which I have given Private Notice—namely,—

To ask Her Majesty's Government, in view of their statement that they intend to dispose of the publicly owned company, Thos. Cook & Son, Ltd., what consultations they have had with the trade unions concerned and whether they will make a Statement as to the procedure to be followed and the terms that will be required to safeguard the interests of its employees?

EARL ST. ALDWYN

My Lords, with the leave of the House, my noble friend Lord Sandford will answer this Question at a convenient moment after half-past three.
