§ THE LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment No. 65. The effect of this Amendment is to provide for the repeal of Sections 153(a) and 154 of the County Court Act 1959. The repeal of Section 153(a) is consequential on subsection (5)(a) of the new clause inserted by Amendment No. 31. The repeal of Section 154 is consequential on the restrict-tions imposed by Part II of the Bill on the power of committal under the Debtors Act 1869.
