MARYLEBONE)My Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to consolidate certain enactments relating to excise duties on mechanically propelled vehicles, and to the licensing and registration of such vehicles with amendments to give effect to recommendations of the Law Commission and the Scottish Law Commission. My Lords, the Reports of the two Law Commissions are published to-day and are available, as usual, in the Printed Paper Office. I beg to move that this Bill be now read a first time.
