§ THE LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, if I may I will move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 17, 18 and 19, and I will also refer to Amendment No. 21. These Amendments simply provide for the Act to come into force on January 1, 1970. Amendment No. 21 deletes the provision in Clause 29 (2) whereby the Act is to come into force three months after Royal Assent. Amendments Nos. 17, 18 and 19 make consequential changes in Clauses 24 and 25 by substituting references to specific dates for references to commencement of the Act. My Lords, I beg to move.
