Clause 1, page 2, line 26 at end insert— (9) Section 4 of the Entail Amendment (Scotland) Act 1875 (consent to disentail may be given at 21) is hereby repealed.

Schedule 1, page 3, leave out lines 25 to 27.

My Lords, Amendments Nos. 1 and 2 go together and, with the permission of the House, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments. I need not take up too much of your Lordships' time with these or, indeed, with the subsequent Amendments, all of which are of a minor drafting nature. The purpose of Amendment No.'.. is to repeal Section 4 of the Entail Amendment (Scotland) Act 1875, which is now spent and should not therefore have been included in the Schedule to the Bill. Amendment No. 2 corrects this error by removing the reference to Section 4 of the 1875 Act from the Schedule. I beg to move.
