HL Deb 29 November 1967 vol 287 c98
LORD BESWICK

My Lords, at a convenient moment after 3.30 p.m. my noble friend the Leader of the House will make a Statement on South Arabia. It may also be for the convenience of the House to know that it is intended to put off the Committee stage of the Consular Relations Bill, which was to have been taken to-morrow, in order to allow a clear day for the Committee stage of the Consumer Protection Bill. It is hoped to adjourn the Committee stage on this Bill to-morrow at about 9 p.m., without any break. It is then intended to resume the Committee stage of the Consumer Protection Bill on Monday next, December 4 breaking off at about 5.30 p.m. in order to take the Committee stage of the Consular Relations Bill, which is expected to take less than half-an-hour, and then to resume the Committee stage of the Consumer Protection Bill with a view to finishing it that night.
