§ Order of the Day read for the consideration of the Third Report from the Committee.
§ The Committee's Report was as follows:
§ 1. LIBRARY
§ A report from the Library Sub-Committee for 1966 was laid before the Committee.
§ 2. SUBSTITUTION AND STARTING PAY ON PROMOTION
§ The Committee authorised the application to the Staff of the House of Lords of Treasury DEO letter (67) (Pay) No. 2 dated 3rd February, 1967, applying new rules governing (a) substitution beginning on or after 1st March, 1967 and (b) starting pay on promotion.
§ 3. RETIREMENT
§ The Committee sanctioned the payment of a pension and additional allowance under the Superannuation Act 1965 to Mr. Harold Edward Parkinson, M.B.E., Personal Assistant to the Lords of Appeal, on his retirement on the 1st June, 1967.
