LORD BROWN

My Lords, Clause 17 requires the director's report to state the division of turnover and profits between the different classes of business. Amendments Nos. 40 to 44 inclusive make quite explicit the original intention: that is, that the number of different classes and the split between them and their differential profit contribution is to be stated "in the opinion of the directors". Amendments Nos. 41 and 43 correct a drafting omission, and will make certain that the different classes of business are in fact described and not merely stated as classes. My Lords, I beg to move.

ed, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendments.—(Lord Brown.)
