§ [No. 109]
§ Clause 32, page 36, line 31, at end insert—
§ ("bearing the same stamp as if they were contained in a deed").
§ LORD BROWNMy Lords, with your Lordships' permission, I ask leave to move this Amendment, but to speak to a large number of Amendments.
§ LORD DRUMALBYNMy Lords, if I may interrupt the noble Lord, may I suggest that we treat stamp duties separately from fees? One is under the control of the Board of Trade, and the other is not. This would mean, I think, that Amendments 109 and 112 should be taken together. We have no objection to these Amendments and are prepared to take them formally.
§ LORD BROWNMy Lords, I therefore formally move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment, No. 109.
§ Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Brown.)
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
