HL Deb 18 July 1967 vol 285 cc220-3

3.55 p.m.

Order of the Day read for the consideration of Commons Amendments.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD GARDINER)

My Lords, I beg to move that the Commons Amendments be now considered. In moving this Motion, may I say two things? First of all, there is a mistake, or omission, on the list of Amendments—in some copies I think it has been written in—in that above Amendment No. 6 there ought to be the words "Clause 9", because Amendment No. 6 is not an Amendment to Clause 7 but an Amendment to Clause 9. Secondly, unless there is any dissent to it, I venture to take Amendments Nos. 1, 2 and 3 together and Amendments Nos. 4 and 5 together, because they deal with separate points: Nos. 1, 2 and 3 deal with one point and Nos. 4 and 5 with another point. My Lords, I beg to move that the Commons Amendments be now considered.

Moved accordingly, and, on Question, Motion agreed to.
