HL Deb 06 February 1967 vol 279 c1145
LORD SHEPHERD

My Lords, with permission, I should like to make a short Business Statement concerning Mr. Kosygin's address to both Houses on Thursday next. It is intended to adjourn the House during pleasure shortly before 4.30 p.m. in order to permit your Lordships to take your places in the Royal Gallery. It is hoped that Peers will be seated by 4.40 p.m. so as to allow an uninterrupted passage to the platform by Mr. Kosygin and his party shortly before a quarter to five. After a short welcome by the Lord Chancellor and Mr. Speaker, Mr. Kosygin will address both Houses, and finally will leave by going down the Royal Gallery to the Princes Chamber, where the Leader of the House will effect some introductions. The House will resume shortly after Mr. Kosygin's departure.
