My Lords, I have to inform your Lordships that Her Majesty has been pleased to determine in favour of Mr. John Drummond the abeyance existing since the death of James Thomas, Duke of Atholl, in 1957, of the Barony of Strange created by Writ in 1628. His Lordship now attends at the Bar with his Writ of Summons to take his seat. The noble Lord is the great-grandson of Lady Charlotte Murray, the eldest daughter of John, Duke of Atholl, who succeeded his mother in the Barony of Strange in 1805.

The Lord Strange was then called in, and took the Oath.
