LORD CONESFORD

My Lords, I beg leave to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government when the inquiry into the allegations made in relation to the conduct of the Public Trustee's Office will be completed.]

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I have completed my investigation into the statements made by Sir Martin Lindsay and into the complaints which he forwarded to me. I have written to Sir Martin informing him of my conclusions. In view of the interest in the matter, I have arranged for copies of my reply to be made available to your Lordships in the Library.

LORD CONESFORD

My Lords, I am grateful to the noble and learned Lord for his Answer.
