HL Deb 30 January 1963 vol 246 c316

2.53 p.m.

VISCOUNT ALEXANDER OF HILLS-BOROUGH

My Lords, may I ask whether Her Majesty's Government will answer the Question, of which I have given Private Notice: Whether Her Majesty's Government will to-day make a statement to your Lordships' House on the position which has arisen upon the termination of negotiations in Brussels?

THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL AND MINISTER FOR SCIENCE (VISCOUNT HAILSHAM)

My Lords, it would be my intention, for the convenience of the House, to repeat in parallel terms a statement which I understand is to be made somewhat later in another place by my right honourable friend the Lord Privy Seal. I think that would probably be the most convenient course for me to take.
