My Lords, I beg leave to ask the Question which stands in my name on the Order Paper.

[The Question was as follows:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they now have any statement to make as to the introduction of a decimal coinage system for the United Kingdom.]

My Lords, with the permission of the House I will answer the Question of the noble Lord, Lord Fraser of Lonsdale, by means of a statement, which I will make at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon.
